About Member

Objective
Within the means of the organisation its objective is to provide emotional and practical support to PwMS, their families, loved ones and carers, or to facilitate such support from other resources.

What MSSA has to offer

    • An organisation that understands the needs of people with MS (PwMS), their families and care-givers.
    • A network of Support groups and/or telephone networks.
    • An MS Library with books, articles and information from reliable local and international sources.
    • Opportunities to link to research programs.
    • Opportunities to link to training programs with most of the Universities and Colleges in our areas of operation.
    • Seminars to inform people about MS or to keep them up to date on developments in the field of MS.
    • Volunteer programs to assist with MS-specific needs.
    • Direct patient services, including visits, supportive devices, indigent care, advocacy, employment mediation and assistance with statutory issues.
    • Liaison with pharmaceutical companies with an interest in MS.
    • Newsletters that are distributed to all members.
    • A Helpline that is available to PwMS, their families, care-givers or any other person with an interest in MS.
